El Salvador contains 23 volcanoes, but just a few are active. In this tour we go to Ilamatepec Volcano, this is the highest volcano in the country, this is one of the few active volcanoes.

An exciting adventure to the top of the Ilamatepec Volcano, a real scenic gem. It’s the highest and largest of the coastal mountain range. Reaches 2382 masl. Collapse of the volcano during the late Pleistocene or early Holocene produced a massive debris avalanche that swept into the Pacific, forming the Acajutla Peninsula.
